The VINCE Project Step by Step towards Higher Education: How to Guide Newcomers and Refugees in Validation Procedures Scroll for more Home Wolfgang Rauter 2020-01-31T14:21:58+00:00 Project Basics Co-funded by Erasmus+ The VINCE project is co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme. It is coordinated by eucen and is running from January 2017 to December 2019 . Validation Validating newcomers’ prior learning gives them a chance to have their knowledge officially recognised. Check out the VINCE country reports about the implementation of validation in various European countries. Inclusion Validation supports inclusion. Newcomers in Europe get the chance to have their prior learning officially recognized and to receive access to Higher Education. Check out the VINCE case studies and learn more about the impact of validation on inclusion. Coordinator Coordinated by Barcelona-based eucen , 13 partners started working on the VINCE project in January 2017. On 14th of November 2019 the Final Symposium will be held, including the VINCE Validation Prize award show. Guidelines We have developed a set of guidelines and a prototype training course for university staff involved in validation processes to be better prepared when working with newcomer candidates. Policy Recommendations During the project policy recommendations have be developed, targeted at EU, national decision makers and institutional learners. PEER LEARNING SEMINAR Working in transnational teams: A common view of the situation of newcomers and a common understanding of validation for refugees and migrants was developed. 2. VALIDATION GUIDELINES Guidelines for Higher Education Staff and Validation Professionals : How to help refugees and migrants to access higher education at their institutions. 4. VALIDATION TRAINING Training of higher education staff and validation professionals: How to support refugees and migrants in accessing higher education through validation procedures. 5. POLICY RECOMMENDATION Based on the project outcomes policy recommendations are developed.
